Recent Commisions:

The Pelican song for community choir

In June this year the Pelican song was performed for a music festival in the Illawarra consisting of a community choir made up of many vocal ensembles in the community. The song develops into an elaborate canon and was performed unaccompanied and was directed by Janet Andrews.

White Chill for 2 guitars

White chill is a delicate conversation between 2 classical guitars. Throughout its twisting melodic lines are intricate harmonies with lots of extended intervals. There are special cadential moments where both guitars come together.

Shades for Piano

This new piano piece has grown out of the improvisation sessions with the Stuart and Sons pianos in Newcastle. It explores rich harmonic shifts at medium to soft dynamics. This work will be performed towards the end of the year. Details of the performance will be posted on this site.

Thumos for Piano trio

The work has been composed for the Piano trio group TriOz and will be performed at IPAC in November.
